EuroEyes International Eye Clinic (1846) said net profit soared by 211.2 percent year-on-year to HK$16.68 million in the first six months, mainly due to a drop in finance expense and tax expense. The basic earnings per share were 5.519 HK cents. Revenue was down by 8.4 percent to HK$188.83 million. The construction of the group’s clinic in Chongqing has resumed after coronavirus pandemic restrictions were lifted in the second quarter. It is expected that the new clinic in Chongqing will open in the final quarter.
