European Super League: Real Madrid and Uefa set to end legal dispute

Uefa and Real Madrid say they are set to end their legal dispute over the failed European Super League. Real had sought "substantial damages" from Uefa after European football's governing body lost a court appeal over the Super League project in October 2025. However, Uefa, European Football Clubs (EFC) and Real Madrid said on Wednesday an "agreement of principles" had been reached "for the good of European club football". It is not yet clear whether Real Madrid are still signed up to the European Super League project. "This agreement of principles will also serve to resolve their legal disputes related to the European Super League, once such principles are executed and implemented."
