Manchester United interim head coach Michael Carrick has spoken to the media this afternoon ahead of Sunday's visit from Fulham in the Premier League. Carrick confirmed Joshua Zirkzee has returned to training at Carrington this week following his short time out with injury. He also refused the notion that Zirkzee was looking to leave Old Trafford before the January transfer window shuts. When asked about any late January transfer window moves, Carrick refused to rule out but he was calm about the situation and working with the squad he has at his disposal. The interim head coach reiterated the importance of Bruno Fernandes and insisted Mason Mount remains an important member of the team despite his chances being limited since Ruben Amorim left.
