Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola did not take Friday's press conference ahead of Sunday's trip to Tottenham Hotspur. Guardiola is not available to speak to the media due to a personal matter and was replaced by his assistant head coach Pep Lijnders. The former Liverpool coach last conducted a press conference following the 10-1 thrashing of Exeter City in the FA Cup when Guardiola was banned from the touchline. On Thursday night, the City boss was in Barcelona speaking at an Act X Palestine event. Lijnders provided a positive injury update and also spoke about the January transfer business City have conducted with Oscar Bobb completing his move to Fulham on Friday.
