Narathiwat Prison director Superintendent Surin Chantep (Pic) said the 31-year-old ex-footballer would remain in prison although his 84-day remand order had ended. — STR/SHARIFAH MAHSINAH ABDULLAHNARATHIWAT: A former Kelantan footballer has yet to be charged at the Narathiwat Court for the murder of a Malaysian man and other offences last year. Narathiwat Prison director Superintendent Surin Chantep said the 31-year-old ex-footballer would remain in prison although his 84-day remand order had ended. "He may face charges for murdering the Malaysian man in Sungai Golok town, as well as other offences," he said. The suspect has been remanded at Narathiwat Prison since Nov 2 after the Narathiwat Court denied him bail due to the seriousness of the offences.
