The Northwestern University hazing scandal continues to grow, as the first female athlete – an ex-volleyball player – has sued the university after alleging she was retaliated against after coming forward to report mistreatment. But the volleyball player shows that this scandal isn’t just allegedly found in one program on campus. In her lawsuit, where she is identified as Jane Doe, the volleyball player claims she was physically harmed "to the point of requiring medical attention" during a hazing incident in 2021. Campus police and the Northwestern athletic department were made aware of the incident, according to the lawsuit.
