Former governor of the US state of New Jersey, Chris Christie tested positive for the coronavirus, he confirmed on Twitter on Saturday, after having spent days helping President Donald Trump prepare for Wednesday’s debate. Christie is the latest in a series of current and former officials who were near Trump the past week to test positive for the disease. Christie, who is overweight, was hospitalized in 2011 after having a severe asthma attack. He tweeted: "I just received word that I am positive for COVID-19. I will be receiving medical attention today and will keep the necessary folks apprised of my condition.''
