Ramya Natarajan, group head of climate change mitigation at the Center for study of Science, Technology and Policy (CSTEP), said, “Climate change impacts have been felt across sectors--record high temperatures and extreme heat costing lives and livelihoods, floods and other extreme weather events destroying crops and livestock... Various studies have estimated the investment requirements to meet these targets and to build resilience to climate change. Chanchal said that most developed countries did not meet their commitment to mobilise $100billion per year to support developing countries to mitigate and adapt to climate change. The next few years are going to be crucial to tackle climate change.
