Jason Wu is an assistant professor of political science at Indiana University. His research focuses on ideology in Chinese public opinion and historical legacies in authoritarian regimes. Wu states there are many factors responsible for the fraught relationship between the United States and China. Most recently, there was an escalation of tensions during the Trump administration rooted in domestic politics.
