Following the incident, passengers and their luggage were returned to the terminal via buses and their departure was delayed. According to the FAA report, the passengers were transferred to another plane to their destination. On January 5, the door plug of an Alaska Airlines plane fell out after taking off from Portland to Ontario, California.
