PETALING JAYA: Datuk Noor Azman Rahman has been reinstated as the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) secretary general. In a statement issued by the football body’s disciplinary committee on Thursday (Jan 8), they decided that the suspension of Azman has ended, and that he will resume his duties with immediate effect. The FAM executive committee had on Dec 22 decided to extend the suspension of Azman after dicussing the findings of the Independent Investigation Committee (IIC) report. "Accordingly, the FAM disciplinary committee, chaired by Datuk Dr Baljit Singh Sidhu, convened and, after taking into consideration the period of suspension already served by him as well as the IIC report dated Dec 15, decided to reinstate Datuk Noor Azman to his duties as FAM secretary general with immediate effect," said the statement issued on Thursday (Jan 8). "With this latest decision, it indicates that Datuk Noor Azman was only involved in administrative negligence and is not guilty of, nor involved in, any document forgery."
