Sources for CNN say the FBI briefly opened a civil rights investigation into Jonathan Ross, the officer who shot and killed Renee Good earlier this month. MINNEAPOLIS — The agent who opened the civil rights investigation into the killing of Renee Good by an ICE agent has resigned from the FBI, sources tell CNN and the New York Times. Good was shot and killed by ICE agent Jonathan Ross on the morning of Jan. 7. The agent initially was working with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension when the shooting happened and opened a civil rights investigation, CNN reports. Multiple Minnesota federal prosecutors also resigned over the DOJ's investigation into Good's death, including Joe Thompson, the lead prosecutor in the high-profile Feeding Our Future fraud case.
