© FC BarcelonaWhen it comes to soccer teams and especially clubs that are located in Europe, a team's kit is closely linked to their identity. With very few exceptions, Barcelona has worn blue and garnet stripes on their primary kit for the majority of their history as a club. Instead of going with their normal vertical stripes or even the rare horizontal stripes that they experimented with for the 2015-16 season, they have completely done away with stripes. © NikeAccording to Barcelona, the inspiration behind this departure from their normal look is the city of Barcelona, itself. It still looks like a normal Barcelona shirt from a color standpoint but the pattern is what sets this kit apart from anything that they have worn in the past.
