FDA Approves At-Home Treatment For HER2-Positive Breast Cancer

The FDA has approved Phesgo, which is a combination of pertuzumab, trastuzumab and hyaluronidase-zzxf, for patients with early HER2-positive breast cancer or those where the cancer has spread to other parts of the body. Data shows that HER2-positive breast cancer accounts for approximately one-fifth of breast cancers. “Currently, most patients with HER2-positive breast cancer receive trastuzumab and pertuzumab at infusion centers. The FDA says healthcare professionals should use monitoring parameters that are similar to those used with IV pertuzumab and IV trastuzumab.
