Photo: BSSDHAKA, April 7, 2026 (BSS) - The Asian Continental stage of the FIDE-ISCFWorld School's Team Chess Championship, organised by the World ChessFederation FIDE and the International School Chess Federation (ISCF), begantoday (Tuesday) in Almaty Kazakhstan. In the first round, South Point School & College defeated St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School of Hong Kong by 4-0 game points. In the second match, South Point School and College lost to second-seededteam, Wisdom School of Uzbekistan by 1-3 game points. The only win for SouthPoint School and College came from Azaan Mahmood, who defeated AbdukayumovAlisher of Wisdom School. After two rounds, South Point School & College has earned two points.
