Since mid-march this year, Football Kenya Federation (FKF) halted the Kenyan Premier League because of the Covid-19 crisis and Gor Mahia were declared champions. That was the first time in Kenyan football history that league winners were determined in a boardroom decision in the wake of a pandemic. FKF president Nick Mwendwa has asserted that he will not renew the contract with the Kenyan Premier League and that the federation will take over the running of the top-tier league. Is it FKF or the Kenya Premier League?
