The Federation of Liberian Communities in Australia (FOLICA) warmly congratulates His Excellency, President George Manneh Weah on becoming the 24th President of the Republic of Liberia. FOLICA applauds the National Elections Commission, the international community, and observers, for overseeing the 2017 elections and procurement of required machinery to operationalise the election process. FOLICA acknowledges that despite the many challenges facing Liberia, President Weah’s message of hope, renewed commitment, and willingness to make quality decisions that will positively impact the lives of Liberians, worth commending. It is our hope that His Excellency, President George Weah, will live up to the promise and improve on the gains already made by his predecessor. FOLICA also extend thank and appreciation to the Liberian Australian community for their active involvement in the election process through various means.
