The Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, for the adoption of the university’s Top Up and Conversion programmes. In his remarks at the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor of FUOYE, Prof. Kayode Soremekun, described the collaboration as very important. He said that the university’s desire for such collaboration was part of its community service agenda to bridge the gap between university and polytechnic education in the country. He gave an assurance that the management of the polytechnic would play its part to ensure the success of the programme. NAN reports that the MoU with the polytechnic is the sixth partnership deal FUOYE had entered into with other institutions.
