AsdaAsda says staff and customers can choose whether to wear face masks in stores - and they won't be made mandatory. A spokesperson said: "We are complying with all Government guidelines and we welcome customers wearing face masks or not. Instead, social distancing measures have been introduced, including one-way aisles to reduce social contact. The retailer previously said the government guidance refers to indoor spaces where social distancing is not possible. However, wearing the visors - or any face coverings - is not enforced, though in small stores it is advised, as per government guidelines.
