Facebook said it would launch a $100 million program consisting of grants in an effort to help small businesses amid the coronavirus pandemic sweeping the globe. In the blog post announcing the decision, the tech giant said it would providing $100 million in cash grants and ad credits to aid small businesses. There are "up to 30,000 eligible small businesses in over 30 countries" that Facebook said would be able to apply. The longer the crisis goes on, the greater the risk to small businesses and to the livelihoods of their owners and employees." In addition to providing the grants, Facebook has taken other steps to help with the crisis.
