KUALA LUMPUR (April 8): The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (KPKM), through the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (Fama), on Wednesday announced a comprehensive Supply and Marketing Intervention Plan for agricultural produce to address the impact of the global energy crisis. Under the plan, Fama will strengthen the Agro Madani Sale (JAM) programme by expanding the "Jimat Dapur Rakyat" initiative, targeting 2,399 sessions nationwide from April to September this year. The programme will also be conducted continuously at Fama-run premises, including Fama Agrobazaar, Fama operation centres and other strategic locations. Fama said the move is in line with the government’s efforts to ensure a stable food supply chain and continued access to essential goods at affordable prices nationwide. “Fama remains committed to facilitating close collaboration with producers, wholesalers and retailers to safeguard national food security,” the statement said.
