…threatens legal action against European clubThe family of late Belarus-based footballer, Kelvin Odenigbo, who was reportedly drowned in a lake in the European country last month, has kicked against plans by his club Vitebsk to cremate the player. The family is also threatening legal action if he is buried in Belarus without their consent. Controversy has trailed the death of the 20-year-old forward, with the family saying they’ve not been properly briefed by Vitebsk since Odenigbo’s demise. On June 5, Vitebsk announced that the striker drowned in Lake Beloye in the Pastavy District of Belarus and was found the next day. The club, in an autopsy report on their website on June 7, ruled out foul play from the player’s death.
