The railway provider's new campaign blends myth, nostalgia, and timeless adventure, featuring the enduring characters of the Famous Five as they travel across the GWR network in search of a dragon. Amanda Burns, sales and marketing director at Great Western Railway, said: "This campaign shows the Famous Five still have plenty of legendary adventures to share. "The campaign is rooted in the myths and legends of the South West and Wales – the very communities our railway has connected for generations. The campaign highlights landmarks across the South West and Wales, including Cardiff Castle, and draws inspiration from GWR’s 1920s-era publicity, which promoted tourism through stories of local legends. Using a multi-channel approach, the campaign includes radio, outdoor advertising, social media, and other digital platforms.
