CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C. — Fish farm company Cermaq Canada says an employee died at one of its sites off the west coast of Vancouver Island. WorkSafeBC says in a statement that it was notified Sunday about a serious boating incident in the Tofino area. A statement from the BC Coroners Service says it is also looking into the unexpected death of a man at the farm. The company says out of respect for the family of the person killed, the employees involved and the official follow-up process, it won’t be providing more details about the incident.
