Mr. Ali said that the father of the victim, Omveer, was brought in for questioning and during sustained interrogation he broke down and admitted to the crime. The police said that the family members of the victim had warned her repeatedly to not continue with the relationship. When she didn't listen to them, her father and uncle hatched a plan to eliminate her,” the police said.
