Following the killing of a former Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees in a cult clash, six suspected cult members of the Black Axe confraternity have been killed in Asaba, Delta State. The ex-NULGE chairman was killed on Monday around 7am by suspected members of the Black Axe confraternity. The cult war in the state capital, which has claimed several lives, is forcing many young people to relocate temporarily out of the city. The state acting Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, said he was only aware of the killing of three persons.
