Fearne Cotton has slammed children's authors who portray stepmums as evil in their books. Ferne is stepmum to her husband Jesse Wood's two teenage children Arthur, 18, and Lola, 14, who he shares with his ex wife, model Tilly Wood. She tweeted on Saturday: "An author visited my sons school this week to read a new novel where once again the step mother featured as an evil character." She added: "Isn't it about time we represented step parents in children's fiction in a more positive way? Another posted: "It is so frustrating that the majority of children's fiction choose to represent step parents like this.
