TEMERLOH: The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, said it is not easy to shoulder the responsibilities of a ruler in the state, especially during festive seasons which require leaders to remain close to the people even during holidays. Al-Sultan Abdullah expressed pride at visitor turnout at the Istana Open House and the Pahang Menteri Besar's Aidilfitri Open House, which numbered in the thousands, and said it served as motivation to continue working and serving the rakyat. Also in attendance was the Tengku Ampuan of Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, along with members of the royal family including the Tengku Mahkota of Pahang, Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah. At the same time, Al-Sultan Abdullah expressed appreciation to Wan Rosdy for organising the event, as well as to all catering providers who prepared food for visitors. In addition, Al-Sultan Abdullah called on the public to pray for an end to the conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran, as its impact is being felt by communities around the world.
