The 2018 Southern Field Days start today, with exhibition space full and a great turnout of spectators expected again this year. Southern Field Days secretary Sharon Paterson said every little bit of space was occupied this year and everybody was positive going in to the event. ‘‘It’s just making the whole region hum.’’The field days gave the rural community the opportunity to view the latest technological advances and retailers the chance to showcase their wares, she said. The tractor pull heats also begin today and will run the entire three days of the Southern Field Days.
