The Field Marshal and the CDF held meetings with several international dignitaries. They met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio to discuss matters of mutual interest, global and regional security situation and cooperation in counter-terrorism. Contemporary security challenges, bilateral defence cooperation and the importance of bilateral and multilateral dialogue for promoting global peace and stability were discussed in these meetings. The Commander of the Lebanese Armed Forces, General Rodolphe Heckel, also met with the Field Marshal and CDF. On this occasion, the global and regional security situation and measures to further promote bilateral defense cooperation were discussed.
