Fiji reported today its second death from the new coronavirus disease – a 61-year-old man who returned on a repatriation flight from Sacramento, the United States, on August 6. "When his condition got a bit worse, he was transferred to the isolation unit at Lautoka Hospital for specialized care. Despite the best care of our health care professionals, he sadly passed away last night at the Lautoka Hospital intensive care," he said. Fiji's first death was a 66-year-old man who died at the Lautoka Hospital on July 31. But Fiji has reported a number of border quarantine patients since July 6.
