Filipino talents shine abroadUPeepz (Twitter)University of the Philippines Diliman’s dance troupe, UPeepz, bagged the top prize at the World Hiphop Dance Championship held at the Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort and Spa on Sunday (Manila time). On Twitter, UPeepz shared their photo while holding a Philippine flag, captioned, “HHI 2016 MEGACREW WORLD CHAMPIONS! PARA SA’YO ‘TO, PILIPINAS!”Aside from UPeepz, Filipino group The Alliance also made their mark at the competition, placing third in the Varsity Winning Crews division. In a report on ABS-CBN News, Ballet Manila artistic director Lisa Macuja-Elizalde shared how grateful she is for the recognition. Lisa’s co-artistic director Osias Barroso shared, “A lot of people noticed how BM (Ballet Manila) dancers simply seemed to sail until the finals.”
