A major fire broke out at a vacant commercial building on Road no. 36 in Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad on Thursday (February 26, 2026) morning, sending plumes of thick smoke into the sky and triggering panic among local residents and shopkeepers. The fire occurred at the premises that earlier housed the Mangala Gowri saree showroom. The two-level cellar plus G+5 structure had been lying vacant after the showroom shifted operations nearly two months ago.
