However, no casualties were reported in the incident that took place on Friday evening. The fire broke out at around 8:30pm at the dyeing sector of a garment factory, Wisdom Attires Limited, owned by Narayanganj-5 MP AKM Selim Osman at Fatullah's Dapa Idrakpur area. Later, two units from Mandalpara and Fatulla Fire Service stations reached the spot and took the fire under control after an hour-long effort, Narayanganj Fire Service and Civil Defence Deputy Director Abdullah Al-Arefin confirmed Dhaka Tribune. Fire service authorities initially speculated that the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit in the dyeing sector of the factory.
