By 8am this morning FENZ officers had largely extinguished the house fire at 159 Lake Terrace, Taupō. A slew of fires in Taupō kept crews busy overnight, with two under investigation. Then on Wednesday about 3.45am Taupō crews were called to a house well ablaze on upmarket Lake Terrace. CHRIS MARSHALL/STUFF The house gutted by fire in Taupō on Wednesday morning sits between a small urupa and reserve so has no direct neighbouring residences. Fire crews were also called to a small fire on Gillies Ave about 8.15pm when a fire broke out in a bathroom.
