A warehouse storing fabric scraps and a nearby plastics factory have been gutted in a fire in Chattogram city. The fire started around 2am on Saturday at a tin-roofed warehouse beside the Ahad Convention Centre on Bakalia Access Road. It quickly spread to a plastic recycling factory next door. Nine Fire Service units were sent to the scene and brought the flames under control by 4:45am, the Agrabad Fire Service Control Room said. Officials said the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage could not be confirmed immediately.
