Channel 5 aired an episode of Fireman Sam in June that reportedly showed Sam and friends "treading on pages of the Koran". Fireman Sam airs on TVNZ. "We will no longer be working with the animation studio responsible for this mistake. HIT Entertainment also owns and produces popular cartoons Thomas the Tank Engine, Bob the Builder, Pingu, Mike the Knight and Barney.
