MANILA, Philippines — Lopez-led First Gen Corp. has renewed its green energy supply contract with a Cebu-based food manufacturer. In a statement, First Gen said integrated food-manufacturing firm General Milling Corp. (GMC) renewed its contract for a seven-megawatt (MW) supply of clean, reliable and renewable energy. Late last year, EDC forged a green energy supply with global automotive parts company Continental Temic Electronics Philippines to power up its facilities in Calamba, Laguna. The contract covers a two-year period for the supply of 2.7 MW of geothermal power from EDC’s BacMan geothermal project, which commenced on Dec. 26, 2018. First Gen is the country’s leading clean and renewable energy producer with 3,490 MW in installed capacity.
