Bill, as he was fondly known, passed away last Thursday after suffering a stroke - at the same hospital where he famously received his vaccine. He was a "much-loved figure" in the Coventry Labour party according to local councillor Jayne Innes, who will be fondly remembered. Mr Shakespeare was the first man to receive the vaccine.
