The man, who was not identified, discovered a burlap bag at 8:35am while fishing near Camel's Hump Rock, off Dong'ao Road, the New Taipei City Police Department's Jinshan Precinct said. He said he had seen the bag floating off the shoreline several days earlier, and upon opening the bag, he knew it was something suspicious and reported it to police, the department said. The marijuana was wrapped in 32 separate bags and had an estimated street value of about NT$20 million (US$635,526), it said.
