Rescuers said last night there was little hope of finding alive a 30-year-old man swept out to sea while fishing off rocks in Cornwall on Monday afternoon. The body of his 21-year-old brother has already been recovered. Robert and Charles Allen, both experienced anglers from Bristol, were on a family holiday and had been fishing at Treyarnon Bay, near Padstow, when they were thrown into the water by a large wave. Their parents, Anthony and Margaret Allen, paid tribute to their sons in a statement released by Devon and Cornwall police. They said: “Our sons were happy, kind, intelligent, loving brothers and we are in a state of shock at what has happened.
