Pol Captain Atthapol Khunnuj, the deputy inspector of Yannawa Police Station, said the fire started at the community on Narathiwat Soi 6 at 12.50am on Thursday. Firefighters took about half an hour to control the blaze after it had burned down eight houses. Two of the injured, Prayad Udongmeechai, 62, and Thanalak Udommanee, 47, were rushed to the Saint Louis Hospital. Thanawat Udommeechai, 18, Muinan, 31, a Myanmar national, and Chawalit Suwanwasit, 32, were rushed to the Lerdsin Hospital. Most houses in the community are made of wood.
