Finance Minister Carole James’ spending plan also lowers the corporate income tax rate for small business to two per cent from 2.5 per cent, but increases the general corporate tax rate from 11 per cent to 12 per cent. The personal income tax rate will jump from 14.7 per cent to 16.8 per cent for those earning $150,000 and over. ——SEARS CANADA TO SEEK PENSION PLAN TERMINATIONSears Canada will file a petition in Toronto today to terminate its pension plan.
