Neighbours of Claires Court School are hoping something will be done about a five-year battle to stop ‘dangerous’ parking on their street. To make more room for children to be socially distanced, the on-site car park in Claires Court was given over to more playground space, she said. Residents are annoyed with the council and annoyed with the school, feeling its leadership should have told staff their parking behaviour was unacceptable. Moreover, pressure has been increased by parking restrictions in neighbouring roads, increased home-working among residents, and ongoing roadworks, the school said. Staff ‘do not preferentially’ choose to park on Ray Park Avenue – they use a range of locations, Claires Court added.
