Photo: Glenn Alcock--Flackwell Heath have made a concerted effort since manager Chris Ayres’ arrival to make better connections with the local community, and match day crowds have grown exponentially as a result. They’re now a side that serves up entertaining football and the crowds at Wilks Park are rising to reflect that. Flackwell Heath Minors (Juniors) have a huge club and with myself, Paul and Keith being local, we’ve brought in some local players. We’re quite big on our link to our minors because you need that community feel. They see some of the lads, my son, Ryan Avery, they coach in the community as well.
