During the recent Year holiday, 14 shops at the market were prosecuted for not displaying menu prices, Mr Thoranin said. The Damnoen Saduak case calls to mind a complaint last year against the Bangkok celebrity chef Jay Fai. She was fined after a customer complained that she paid 4,000 baht for the famous crab omelette at the Michelin-starred eatery.
