Christopher William Monnin, 35, of Palm Bay, Florida, who admitted to stealing pool floats to 'sexually gratify' himselfA thief who stole pool floats from back gardens in Florida, which he used to 'sexually gratify' himself, has been arrested on charges of burglary, theft and criminal mischief. Police were alerted to thief Christopher William Monnin, 35, of Palm Bay, following a spate of bizarre robberies where pool enclosure screens were cut and novelty floats were stolen. On Thursday Florida police stopped Monnin on his bicycle as a suspicious person and was found to be carrying a white garbage bag which contained deflated pool floats, an arrest report said. 'Defendant stated that he sexually gratifies himself with the floats and does this instead of raping women,' the arresting officer said, the SD reported. One victim is understood to be pressing charges after Monnin cut her pool screen, which prevents dirt and foliage from getting into the water, in order to steal the floats.
