The authorities have tightened security in and around Sholakia Eidgah of Kishoreganj ahead of Monday’s Eid congregation. The 190th Eid congregation at the historical ground is scheduled to begin at 10am. The municipal authority has constructed some new roads and a bridge to ensure smooth traffic to the Eid ground. Banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujaheedin Bangladesh (JMB) carried out explosions near Sholakia Eid ground on July 7 last. Four people, including a woman and two policemen, were killed in the attack at a checkpoint near the Sholakia Eid congregation.
