Yet, due to the current Covid-19 situation, it was postponed to 1 June (Tuesday). It has been sanctioned by FIFA, the football world-governing body, that the federations must always have its election with a secret ballot. Dr. Manil FernandoDr. Fernando, son of former football administrative stalwart Manilal Fernando, is an orthopedic doctor by profession and a keen follower of the sport. His rival Umar is thoroughly involved in football, being a former senior football referee and a match commissioner of both FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
