The Phillies are relevant again in Philadelphia. When Rose signed with the Phillies in 1979, he was the type of guy who drove Philadelphia nuts when he had "Cincinnati" across his chest. But that act was married perfectly to the city, and that’s what the Phillies are deep down counting on happening. No matter what happened in the past, Bryce Harper is now part of that landscape. His ultimate value may be determined in rings, but that’s already a good start for Harper and the Phillies.
